Pärlugglans Smycken offers you jewelry with a Scandinavian touch. Quality is important to me. I design and make all the jewelry by hand. Sterling silver and solid copper materials are my favourites but I also use gold filled and vermeil. Sometimes I like to oxidize the silver to give it a special look. I'm a self taught artist and five years ago I needed a new pair of earrings for to match my new necklace. Well, I do some I thought. I did it then and I do now. Since then I spend nearly all my free time in my studio. I live in the middle of Sweden, almost 500 kilometers (310 miles) north of Stockholm. Sweden is a country which has four season and midnight sun. Here, where I live, there’s never dark in the summer and nearly always in the winter. The nature around me is a big source of inspirations for me.With my jewelry I want to catch the brightness in the spring, the colorful autumn, the long dark chilly winter and the short summer. I really would like to give you that feeling. Each design is carefully thought out and I spend a lot of time with constructing pieces. I love to work with solid copper and sterling silver.
