Group description & product spot

I have a product group called 'new items' and in the description it says a là '70 new products, last added on 07/07/2008'. I use this group as product spot on front page and for some reason it doesn't display the description.

It is rather important because there are just 70 NEW products listed, with no description one might understand there is total 70 products available in the entire shop.
