Product import is not importing all fields

I've used the product import function since starting with Wosbee with no problems to import every product on my site. Since the upgrade, I noticed the "Product weight" field doesn't import. Every other field works and the products appear as normal on the site. I tried it with the new and old import versions. I also exported the new products in the old and new versions and tried to do updates using the exported file to add the weight. The updates show as successful but the weight still shows as zero.
I also tried an update to an older product (with a defined weight) using the full old version export file and reimporting that with a different weight. The weight didn't get updated.
What am I doing wrong?
I just tried updating prod purchase price field too-got the "products successfully updated" message-but the purchase price doesn't change in the admin interface/products. I also imported an update to product price-that worked fine. So evidently the import function is broken for some fields, not all.
