This week on Wednesday 23.04.2008, we will do final Wosbee 1.11 upgrade.
Some people may experience troubles with their websites. Please bear with us.

This release has no new features, but it has a lot of bug fixes.
The most important bugfix is that the scalable picture feature
is now working. We want to thank everyone, who has helped us
by informing us about those problems.

Planned Wosbee upgrade to 1.11 version passed successfully, new features are available:

On the next week, the wosbee will be upgraded to version 1.11

Scalable Pictures

This new feature will allow you automatically rescale all the product pictures to one standard.

Product CSV import/export Improvement

The new products wizard is now available. The import was made easier for the user.
Also the user can choose now import root folder and in import and export user can describe file encoding.

HTML WYSIWYG

Its now possible to have WYSIWYG editor in all text areas.

PDF manual

For those users, who wanted to get the help manual in one file.
We have made now a special compilation of all help pages into single PDF file.

Luottokunta transaction check

A new feature is added to Luottokunta payments. The user now can check the current status of the Luottokunta payment.

Product Option Search

It is now possible to search the products trough optional values.

You can now freely describe your shop and products

A new feature has been added to user profiles. This is the ability to add keywords to your profile. With keywords you can add freely chosen words to describe your shop and your products. These keywords are later used in various searches etc. So taking some time to fill in this information is beneficial to your shop.

You can set your keywords in your user profile. Just go to your profile and from Edit select the Tags tab.

User profile, your Wosbee business card

All merchants in Wosbee have their own profile pages in Wosbee community portal. We strongly recommend that you take some time to fill in all the requested fields on your user profile. This information is used in Wosbee to promote your shop and can be seen for example in current Shop Gallery. Your potential customers are the ones to see this information. Completed and up-to-date information always gives a better impression.

User profiles are strongly linked to wosbee directory listings. All the information on user profiles can be used in directory listings, future searches etc. So again, filling in your user profile with up-to-date and well chosen information might help you to get the customers you want.

Wosbee directory listings

Most recently we have added a possibility for all merchants to request Wosbee directory listing for their own shops. This of course means free publicity. The idea behind Wosbee directory listings is to promote well working, ready, and good looking webshops on Wosbee community portal. Wosbee.com gets thousands of visits every day. Adding your shop to Wosbee directory listings means that the chance of your shop being found gets better.

At the moment Wosbee has a Shop Gallery where some shops have already been listed. As time goes on and Wosbee community gets new features, your shop might get free publicity in various ways, so listing is strongly recommended. Once you are listed, your shop will be included in all future listings automatically.

Continuous development for a better portal

Wosbee community is under continuous development. We are aiming to create a well working platform where all merchants at Wosbee can join their forces together with Wosbee team to create a living and expanding community where all Wosbee users can share their ideas, questions, concerns as well as to promote their own businesses. The community portal is being updated almost daily with some new improvements.

Wosbee has been 30.01.2008 successfully updated to version 1.10.

FileManager

FileManager has major improvments. It now has folders. You can create your own folders for example for images, PDF:s and Theme-files (like CSS and backgroung images). The files in FileManager are also now located at the root of the webshop by default. For example Google Sitemaps requires this. Also it is now possible to edit files directly in the admin interafce without the need to import/export (very good for editing CSS!) file.

WYSIWYG editor for free pages

When you have pages like "Contact us" and "Delivery terms" in your webshop, you can edit them easily without any HTML skills.

FreeHTML variables in notifications

FreeHTML variables (like $first_name$) that you have previously used in customer e-mails and other documents are now also available in the webshop notification messages. Like "Sorry Jaakko, there are no items in your shopping
basket"...

New events for automatic actions

New events for triggering actions (like sending automatic emails). For example there are different events for order received based on payment type. This allows the merchant to configure different behaviour for orders paid
with offline or online payment type.
